Billing & Usage
Understand how billing works, monitor your usage, and manage your invoices.
We believe in transparent and predictable pricing. This guide explains how to track your service usage, manage your billing details, and understand your monthly invoices.
How Billing Works
Our billing model is designed to be simple and developer-friendly.
- Daily Accrual: We calculate the cost of your active resources (like Virtual Machines and Kubernetes nodes) on a daily basis. You can see this accumulating cost in your usage dashboard.
- Monthly Invoicing: At the end of each calendar month, we issue a single invoice that totals all your daily accrued costs for that period.
- Payment Method: The invoice amount is automatically charged to the default payment method on your account.
You are only billed for the resources you use. If you delete a service, billing for that resource stops immediately.
The Usage Dashboard
The Usage tab provides a real-time view of your spending.
- Current Spend/Day: This shows the estimated cost for the current day based on your active resources.
- Usage Graph: The bar chart visualizes your accrued costs over the selected month. This is useful for tracking how your spending changes over time, especially after launching or deleting resources.
- Date Picker: You can use the date picker to view your usage history for previous months.
Invoices and Payment Methods
The Billing tab is where you manage your payment details and access your history.
- Payment Method: You can add, update, or remove your credit card information here. A valid payment method is required to use paid services.
- Invoices: This section lists all your past invoices. You can see the date, status (e.g., Paid), and amount for each.
- Downloading Invoices: You can download any invoice as a PDF for your records by clicking on it in the list.
Set Up Billing Alerts
To avoid surprises, we recommend setting up billing alerts (if available in your account settings). Alerts can notify you via email when your spending exceeds a certain threshold you define.
